First time applying wall decals or wallpaper? Wondering whether they will work on textured walls—or what happens if you make a mistake?
You do not have to figure everything out alone. At Dos Junior, we make wall decor to order in our Texas studio and help you choose the right product for your space. Here are answers to four questions that matter, from your first application to your next room makeover.
1. First Time with Decals & Wallpaper? Don’t Panic!
Can I apply wall decals myself if I have never done it before?
Yes. You can apply individual peel-and-stick wall decals one piece at a time, without having to get an entire arrangement onto the wall at once.
Start by laying out your pieces and deciding where you want them. Apply the first piece slowly, smooth it into place, and continue at your own pace. Each decal is a separate piece, so you can create your own spacing and arrangement. Your wall color remains visible between the pieces.
For a larger design, planning the layout before you begin makes the process more comfortable.
Is wallpaper manageable for a beginner too?
Yes, with preparation and the instructions for your chosen product. Wallpaper needs more attention to measurements, panel order, and pattern alignment than individual decals.
Before starting:
- Check your wall measurements and the panel dimensions.
- Identify the correct panel order.
- Follow the supplied instructions for alignment and any overlap.
- Start with a straight reference line rather than assuming a corner is perfectly straight.
- Work slowly and check the pattern as you go.
Our wallpaper options can have different application methods. Check the product listing and use the instructions supplied with your order.
Will your products stick to textured walls?
Dos Junior offers material options suitable for almost all wall textures. You do not need to rule out wall decals or wallpaper simply because your wall is textured.
The important step is choosing the right material for your particular surface. Light, medium, and heavier textures can require different options, and the condition of the paint also matters. The same material will not necessarily suit every wall.
Send us a clear close-up photo of your wall and tell us which design you are considering. We can help you choose an appropriate option before you order.
What should I do before applying my wall decor?
Make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust or loose paint. Newly painted or repaired walls need time to cure fully before adhesive products are applied.
Check the directions for your paint and your selected wall decor. If you are unsure about the wall finish, texture, or preparation, ask us before starting.
Can I order a sample before choosing my wall decor?
Yes. You can order a sample of the design you are considering directly from its product page. Open your chosen design and select the sample option before adding it to your cart.
A sample lets you see the color and material in your room and test it on your own wall before placing a larger order. If you need help choosing a material for your wall texture, contact us.
Start by browsing our reusable wall decals or wallpaper collection, then open the design you would like to sample.
2. Made a Mistake? Here’s How We Can Help
What if I put a decal in the wrong place?
A placement mistake does not automatically mean your project is ruined. Our reusable fabric decals give you flexibility to adjust your arrangement.
Gently lift the piece and reposition it according to the product instructions. Avoid pulling sharply or stretching the material, and keep the adhesive side away from dust and dirt.
If you are unsure how to handle a piece, pause and send us a photo. We can help you decide what to do next.
What if a piece folds over or sticks to itself?
Stop before pulling it apart forcefully. Take a clear photo and contact us so we can assess the situation and guide you.
Different materials behave differently, so the right next step depends on the product and what happened. Asking for help early can prevent a small application problem from becoming a larger one.
What if my wallpaper pattern is not lining up?
First, check the panel order and the alignment or overlap instructions included with your order. Do not stretch the material to force the pattern to meet.
Send us a photo of the full area and a close-up of the join. Include your order number and tell us which panels you are working with. This helps us identify the problem and give you useful guidance.
What if I damage a piece during installation?
Please get in touch. Send your order number, a photo of the damaged piece, and a short explanation of what happened.
We will review your situation and discuss the available solution with you. You do not have to guess whether to repair the piece, replace it, or start over.
Will I be able to speak to someone who understands my order?
Yes. Dos Junior is a small business, and you can contact the team that makes your wall decor.
Whether you need help with measurements, placement, panel alignment, or an application mistake, we can look at your actual design and guide you personally.

3. Renter-Friendly? Yes, Easy Removal!
Can I decorate a rental with wall decals or removable wallpaper?
Yes. Removable wall decor is a practical way to make a rental feel more personal, especially when you want to change the room again later.
Choose a product suited to your wall, follow the installation directions, and check any decorating restrictions in your rental agreement. If you are unsure which material to choose, we can help.
Will removable wall decor leave residue or damage the paint?
Our removable options are designed for easy removal from suitable surfaces. However, the result depends on the selected material and the condition of your wall and paint.
Loose paint, poorly bonded paint, or a finish that has not fully cured can lift during removal. Testing a sample on your own wall helps you assess adhesion and removal before decorating a larger area.
Does renter-friendly mean every wall is exactly the same?
No. Wall texture, paint condition, paint curing, and the selected material all affect application and removal.
Our range includes options for almost all wall textures, but matching the material to your surface is still important. A textured wall and a wall with loose or poorly bonded paint are different situations.
Tell us about your wall so we can help you make an informed choice.
How do I remove wall decals when I am ready for a change?
Follow the removal instructions for your product. Begin at an edge and peel slowly, keeping the material close to the wall instead of pulling straight outward.
Take your time. If you notice resistance or paint lifting, pause and contact us before continuing.
Can I move my fabric decals to another room?
Our reusable fabric decals can be repositioned and used again when handled and stored carefully.
Keep the original backing, protect the adhesive from dust, and avoid folding the adhesive sides together. Reuse depends on the condition of the decal, its adhesive, and the new surface.
This flexibility is helpful when you want to rearrange a room or update your child’s space.
Can you help me choose wall decor for a rental?
Yes. Send us a photo of the wall, describe its texture, and let us know whether you want individual decals, a border, or wallpaper.
We can help you understand the suitable options and whether a sample would be useful before committing to the full design.

4. Where Is It Made? Made to Order in Texas, USA
Where are Dos Junior wall decals and wallpaper made?
We make our wall decor to order in our Texas studio, USA. Your selected design is printed and prepared after you place your order.
When you contact us with a question, you are reaching the small business behind your product.
What does “made to order” mean for my purchase?
It means we produce your order for the design and options you select, rather than simply picking a finished item from a shelf.
If you are planning a special project, contact us before ordering. We can discuss the available sizing, design, or personalization options for the product you have chosen.
What makes your fabric wall decals different from vinyl stickers?
Our fabric decals use real PVC-free woven fabric. They have a fabric texture rather than the plastic surface of conventional vinyl stickers.
We also offer different wall-covering materials for different projects and surfaces. Read the material details on the individual listing, or ask us to help you compare the options.
Who is behind Dos Junior?
Dos Junior was founded by Zuleyha Demir, a mother and designer creating decor for babies, children, and family spaces.
Our work combines thoughtful designs, production in our Texas studio, and personal help with the practical questions that come with decorating a room.
Why does buying from a small Texas studio matter?
You can ask questions about your space and receive guidance from people who understand the design and how it is produced.
From choosing a material for a textured wall to discussing an installation problem, that direct connection gives you somewhere to turn throughout your project.
